C. Brett Scarbrough, CFA, CPA
Brett Scarbrough brings more than 18 years of investment experience across public
equities, private equity, venture capital, and real estate.
He joined Holt Capital as a Partner following a distinguished tenure at LKCM Headwater
Investments, where he managed a $500 million multistrategy portfolio. The strategy
included a long/short public equity portfolio spanning companies of all capitalizations,
alongside 36 direct private investments, with a disciplined focus on value creation and
long-term performance.
Brett serves on the Board of Directors of Emotive Software and has been an active advisor
to Distribution Solutions Group (NASDAQ: DSGR). Earlier in his career, he worked in
investment banking at Credit Suisse and in financial and operational roles at Rawson, L.P.
Brett holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, and a BA in Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University. He is a CFA charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant.
